mailerfromniumbaprogramBased in the Chicago-Land Area and California’s Silicon Valley, Joe Cullinane is an advisor, consultant, educator and author who counsels executives and entrepreneurs to help them achieve their business goals.  He is currently working on a variety of global business development projects, advising a diverse clientele of executives and entrepreneurs, and writing a new book for executives that explains the strategic uses of next-generation Internet technologies.

Among his areas of expertise are strategic business development, global sales and marketing, and the strategic deployment of new Internet technologies in support of business development and branding initiatives.

Cullinane learned first-hand the power of strategic business development, sales and marketing with leading companies such as Xerox Corporation and NCR Corporation.  At Diversified Software Systems, Inc – a leading enterprise software company – he served as Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of International Sales and Western Region Sales Manager, conducting business and delivering training on five continents.

Cullinane later founded and led the Telum Group, a Silicon Valley consulting firm dedicated to providing professional sales and marketing services to hi-tech start-ups.

As an author and anthologist, Cullinane wrote and compiled the book 21st Century Selling: An Anthology of Advice from Top Sales Pros.

At Northern Illinois University, located in DeKalb, Cullinane is serving a multi-year term as an Executive-in-Residence for NIU’s College of Business. Cullinane has taught such courses as global marketing, marketing and new technology, and entrepreneurship. Cullinane has also coached student teams in the Experiential Learning Center (ELC) as they created and executed programs for leading corporations. Cullinane has also taught sales and marketing courses at the Keller Graduate School of Management and Aurora University. Cullinane has given dozens of presentations to universities and corporations, including IBM, Northwestern University and Northern Illinois University.

In 2005, Cullinane received the annual Outstanding Alumni Award from the Department of Marketing at Northern Illinois University’s College of Business.
